how we lost the summer

From top left to right:
Milla tucks her insects into socks and says goodnight, they have been on her bedside table for weeks now, Milla's dollhouse move(the dolls wanted to live in a white house like us, so they packed up their things and loaded them on a trailer and experienced moving day), giggles over new goggles, ocean in a bottle, focused on her dropper activity while pretending to be Super Kiki with a cape, freeing her bird trapped in a glacier using water of different temps, salt and a hammer, hammering away at golf tees matching the color on their tips to the color on the styrofoam, a shell and rock garden made from a collection we brought back from Long Island, measuring & dying rice then lots of play and rice art, Filling ABC box with letters followed by a letter-sound scavenger hunt,  a make-shift sticker activity to tune those fine motor skills, big sis feeding little sis spinach

Fun with fabric!
Milla is my sewing buddy. I don't know much more than her so we make a good team.

From top left to right:
Milla became an independent swimmer in June; we swam almost daily! We enjoyed a weekend in Galveston with Milla's dearest little friend and her family. Milla wants to use chopsticks for any meal. Milla had her first dentist appointment and chose chocolate toothpaste. We blew lots of bubbles. We painted outside. Scarlett became more and more mobile making her a more exciting playmate for Milla. We had swim parties with family and friends. We enjoyed a visit from my sis and her family and spent the longest day EVER at the zoo! Big Daddy, Nana, and Aunt Shay came to help out while Scarlett was hospitalized. We celebrated my dad's 61st birthday! A high school buddy and her fam came to visit...lots of sweet little girl energy and one little Rowan boy. We went to Long Island to visit Greg's folks. We played on the playset on days when the clouds hid the sun. Milla played dress-up(and undress) at least a hundred times!
